Before I start this post, I must solemnly confess that I have been seriously neglecting putting posts on the blog. So, I will do my best to catch up to real time in my posts. Until then, enjoy my post on Verona.
On the way to Venice, we made a side trip to Verona which is supposedly the setting that Shakespere used for his play Romeo And Juliet. Passing a small coliseum, we presently came into the old part of town. Parking our car (a rental), we followed tourists and school groups.

Verona's coliseum is still used for outdoor play productions today |
Following the crowds, we came into a narrow tunnel. It appeared that the tunnel had once been all white on the inside but was now covered in love notes and hearts; messages to Juliet. Mom, Dad and Griffin wrote on the wall.

Going through the tunnel, we saw Juliet's balcony itself. It is said that Juliet's balcony used to be a sarcophagus.

Besides the writing on the entry tunnel, there were love locks completly covering a gate near the balcony and gum wads with hearts and love notes on them cover the walls.
After a little bit of magic and some
lunch(hand pizzas [mine was a fungi pizza]and soda),we discovered Verona's town center then headed out towards Venice.
