Easter

Yay!! It's Easter and we had a great time, even though we did not go to church. We started our day with opening our Easter eggs. Griffin was very excited about his new car and Roman figure. I got some chocolate eggs and a Juventes (local soccer team) Fiat 500. I had a good morning. Later we headed to Parco Del Valentino (see earlier post Parco Valentino) to show Julie. We started by renting a four seated bike to ride around the park, it broke a few times but it was still pretty fun. After that we decided to head to Borgo Medivale, a replica of a medieval castle and village. We walked thought the village and then paid to go on a tour of the castle. We had some meat and cheese sandwiches for lunch, and afterwards it was time to go on our tour. We looked in all sorts of rooms and even the prisons. The prison was my favorite part of the tour. The kitchen had some cool stuff, like a rack to hang dead birds on. We then went to see the royal gardens. On our way we stopped at the small shack housing a big torsion catapult and a ballista. Then we went to the gardens witch were not really that interesting. Then we headed out and went home. We had some dinner and headed to get some Gelato ( yay they were open on Easter ). After having my gelato I heade to bed. I'll post again soon.
