We heard that Aix en Provence had a large market on Saturdays - both local goods and some brocante. So we headed off for an hourish drive through gorgeous countryside and eventually found the main shopping street and then the market. The brocante was weak but the Provençal market was large. I purchased a vintage chemise, a pannier, a bunch of marseille soaps, a length of oilcloth (grey with stars), a piece of fabric embroidered with "GH", and Hailey got a cute star tee-shirt/scarf combo.
Aix was not our favorite town - too big, too busy, lost a bunch of its charm, but I have to say that I did enjoy that market!
