Cote D'Azur

Today we would be leaving Provence and driving home along the Cote D'Azur (blue coast). But we started the morning by going to a flea market in Sur la Sorgue a town in the area which is said to have a very good flea market. It has canals running through it and it is called the Venice of France. We got there early because everything we read about it had said you had to otherwise the good stuff would be all gone. We found at that this was really not necessary, when we got there everyone was still setting up their stalls. We were kind of disappointed at first so we went to a little bakery to get breakfast. We got some tasty little sugary things which we ate very fast. We kept walking around the market though and it didn't take long for everything to open up. We walked around a bunch of stalls, until we got hungry and saw a sign on a nearby bakery for three baguettes for 2 euros.  Mom and Dad sent me and Hailey to go get some. We ate our baguettes and hung out there. We later bought a poster of the anatomy of a flower to put into our living room. We left the market and Sur la Sorgue and got back into the car. We drove for a while until we got to Cannes, which is famous for its annual film festival. We just drove through town until we found a quiet public beach which was all rocks and bits of brick and pottery, it was very strange. We each ended up getting some pottery and/or rocks before we headed out. We drove for a little until we arrived in Nice. We found a parking spot and walked down to the beach. We went to a small restaurant for lunch, we each got a panini and a drink and ate. We went down to the beach afterwards and i tried to teach Hailey to skip rocks. I can skip rocks in the ocean. We hung out there for a while before we headed to Monaco. Monaco is the second smallest country in the world, second only to the Vatican city. It is .7 square miles. It is one of the worlds wealthiest countries. We drove in and parked at the famous Monaco Casino parking garage. We went out into the casino yard and walked to the end. When we got out we were at the famous casino corner, which is a part of the F1 race there. I loved it. We walked further down on the F1 circuit, where they were putting up barriers for the race, which is on the 26th. We took pictures of the circuit and stared at the water and all the yachts. We left and continued home for a while. When we did get home we ate and then went to bed. I really enjoyed going to Monaco because i'm such a big f1 fan.
