Where for art thou, Romeo?

Verona! Friday we picked up our rental car and headed towards Venice. On the way we stopped in the city of Verona, the location where Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet is set. We had a heck of a time getting into the city center and finding parking, but with that done we wandered off to "Juliet's House". We wrote love notes on the walls - there are almost no white space left. There is a brick wall filled with love notes written on gum. Gum! We gawked at "her" balcony and gave her bronze boob a rub for good luck. (The entire square seemed to be filled with middle-school field trippers and they looooved it when Griffin had his turn "Ha! Bambini!") Totally cheesey but good fun. We had lunch from the market in the central piazza and then it was back into the car for Venice.
